Advanced File Protector can encrypt your files using 4 symmetric algorithms (the same key is used for the encryption and decryption process) : DES, Triple DES, Blowfish and the newest AES standard Rijndael; you can also use the best asymmetric algorithm (the key is divided in a public and private separate keys) : RSA.
- Keys from 64 up to 1024 bits length!
The key sizes can be from the weakest size available of 64 bits up to the most secure size of 1024 bits.
- Key Loss Disaster Recovery
It's possible you lose the physical key file, so, Advanced File Protector included a Key Loss Disaster Recovery process to help you rebuild your key. That way, your files are always protected.

With Advanced File Protector you can create physical keys to protect your files. With them, you can generate a true secure key and place it in a floppy disk or other removable media (zip disk, CD-ROM, USB disk, ...) and travel with it. It's just like your home key. The door only opens with it and it travels with you!
- Drag And Drop for files
Although Advanced File Protector has a favorite file selection list system integrated into it, you can drag and drop a single file over the key you wish to use to encrypt for those files! It's simple and very fast.

To assure the best protection, the original files can't be recovered with any disk recovery programs since they are completely shredded!

You can create as many toolbars as you wish. That way, only the buttons you use can be visible.

Because keys can be captured by an intruder, you can password protect them. The password length is virtually unlimited. Advanced File Protector includes brute force protection for the password entry. If a key is password protected, there's no way to get it without the correct password!
- Unlimited Free Updates for a full version cycle
When the issue is security, you should always use the most updated version. That way, Advanced File Protector allows you to upgrade your version to the newest updated minor version! A minor version maintains the first number. If you own version 1.2 and version 1.6 is released, you can freely update it. However, if version 2.0 is released, you must obtain a new copy or upgrade it!
